This system was difficult to install due to the steepness of the roof.

But once it was installed and hooked up to the system, it heated the pool very efficiently. The temperature reading on the roof was 31 degrees Celsius the next day. The gas heater was installed to give the home owner the opportunity to heat the pool very quickly in the spring or fall or whenever the solar heat is not sufficient. We call this a “hybrid pool heating system” and gives you the best of both worlds.

We installed a Hayward ProLogic to control the entire system from a hand-held device, called the “Aqua-Pod” which makes it very convenient to control the pool from everywhere in the house or backyard even while in the pool.

The next step is to replace the existing pump with an energy efficient variable or two-speed pump and the old sand-filter with a more efficient and environmentally friendly cartridge-filter.
